Dr Jayne Donegan MBBS DRCOG DCH DFFP MRCGP MFHom is a GP and Homoeopathic Physician with Certified Specialist Accreditation in Medical Homeopathy from the Faculty of Homeopathy, London. She has a special interest in vaccination and promotes health and practical, supportive treatment of childhood and adult infectious diseases and other illnesses. She qualified in 1983 from St Mary”s Hospital Medical School, London and works as a freelance NHS GP in addition to offering private consultations in North London. In 2007 the General Medical Council (GMC), which licences doctors to practice medicine in the UK,tried to strike her off the Medical Register for suggesting, as an expert witness in the High Court of England & Wales, that it was reasonable for two mothers not to vaccinate their children. However, after the fitness to practice hearing, the Panel found that she was not guilty of serious professional misconduct. “The Panel is sure that in the reports you provided (largely from medical journals) you did not fail to be objective, independent and unbiased.” The depth of investigation on vaccination that Dr Donegan made to clear her name supports her as one of the most knowledgeable in the UK. She champions parents’ rights and challenges the level of accuracy provided by the NHS on vaccination and other medical interventions.
